How long does delivery to Kazakhstan take?
Delivery from Italy to Kazakhstan takes 15–20 days from the moment the shipment leaves our warehouse. BPD Express consolidates parcels for Kazakhstan into one shipment per month, which departs at the end of the month. To catch the current month’s dispatch, your parcel must reach our warehouse in Italy by the 25th.
If your box arrives after the 25th, it travels with the next monthly shipment — so if you’re ordering something online to forward to Kazakhstan, allow time for the store’s delivery to our warehouse plus the wait until the nearest 25th.

Sending documents from Italy to Kazakhstan
Documents ship at a flat rate of €50, regardless of weight or destination country, and typically arrive in 10–15 days. Passports, diplomas, powers of attorney, original contracts and certificates travel as registered international mail with a tracking number, insurance and door-to-door delivery. The envelope is not opened at customs — it moves as post under Universal Postal Union rules. Document delivery is a separate service and doesn’t follow the parcel price table above.
Customs limits for parcels to Kazakhstan
Kazakhstan is a member of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), so personal parcels enter duty-free up to €200 in value and 31 kg in weight per shipment. These are the unified EAEU norms in force since January 1, 2020.
Sending something worth more than €200? That’s perfectly fine — the recipient simply pays an import duty of 15% on the amount above the threshold, with a minimum of €2 per kilogram of excess weight. No surprises: send us the contents list on WhatsApp before shipping and we’ll calculate the exact duty in advance.
What you can and cannot send to Kazakhstan
You can send: clothing and shoes (new and used), cosmetics and perfume, food and sweets, baby items and toys, books and stationery, household goods and souvenirs.
Food has a few simple rules: up to 5 kg of food per parcel, nothing perishable — the box travels about two weeks without refrigeration. Italian cheese and cured meats (prosciutto, salami) are welcome, but only in vacuum packaging.
You cannot send:
- Alcohol and tobacco
- Weapons and explosives
- Phones and tablets
- Drones
- Car parts
- Prescription medicines
- Banknotes and securities
- Seeds and live plants
- Perishable food without vacuum packaging

Is shipping from Italy to Kazakhstan legal and reliable?
Yes — BPD Express is an official postal operator recognized by the Universal Postal Union (UPU) since 2003, with its own International Postal Exchange Point. Parcels move under the Universal Postal Convention, the same framework national post offices use. Kazakhstan is not subject to EU shipping restrictions, so ordinary personal parcels travel without any special paperwork.
One thing to check before you ship: BPD Express delivers almost everywhere in Kazakhstan, except some regions of Western Kazakhstan. Confirm the recipient’s address with us on WhatsApp before sending — it takes a minute and rules out any risk of return.
Why expats in Italy choose BPD Express for Kazakhstan
Few carriers run a regular Italy–Kazakhstan corridor at all — BPD Express is one of the few companies with a dedicated monthly shipment and courier delivery to the door anywhere from Almaty to Astana. You get a fixed, transparent price per weight, tracking from drop-off to doorstep, and support in English, Italian or Russian on WhatsApp at every step. That matters when your recipient is your mom in Shymkent, not a corporate logistics department.
